2021 Special Edition of the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, 1 Gold Medal & 1 Silver Medal
The Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions is a significant global annual event devoted exclusively to inventions from over 20 countries and regions. Blue Pin achieved excellent results at 2021 Special Edition of the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, winning one Gold Medal and one Silver Medal.

The Hong Kong ICT Awards aims at recognising and promoting outstanding information and communications technology (ICT) inventions and applications, thereby encouraging innovation and excellence among Hong Kong's ICT talent and enterprises in their constant pursuit of creative and better solutions to meet business and social needs.
With our concept of “Smart Expo”, Blue Pin won the Smart Living Award. We applied our Indoor Positioning System (IPS) into an Exhibition venue. The system employs a proprietary Fusion Algorithm to achieve highly accurate, yet low-cost and high-quality user experience, allowing users to easily find where they want in an exhibition venue.

Gold Medal of iENA 2019 in Nuremberg, Germany
Blue Pin representing PolyU won Gold medal in the 71st International Trade Fair for Ideas, Inventions & New Products (iENA) held in Nuremberg, Germany
iENA is one of the most important international trade fairs for the inventor community. The trade fair, held from 31 October to 3 November this year, attracted inventors from research institutions, academic bodies and business enterprises from more than 30 countries to showcase over 800 inventions and product innovations. With a history of over 70 years, iENA has become an annual platform for global inventors, entrepreneurs, investors and developers to seek collaboration and commercialisation of innovations.
Among the world-class innovations on display, PolyU’s innovations have all been granted awards by iENA’s specialist jury in recognition of their remarkable innovative ideas and cutting-edge technologies.
iENA was first launched in 1948 in Nuremberg of Germany. Over the past 70 years, about 30,000 inventions have been presented at the trade fair. iENA this year is organized by AFAG Messen und Ausstellungen GmbH, partnered with the Union of Croatian Innovators (UCI), in collaboration with International Federation of Inventors’ Association (IFIA), German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA), German Inventor Association (DEV) and the Association of German Engineers (VDI).

PolyU Lean Launchpad Programme
The Final Presentation was held successfully on 5 July 2019 in PolyU with 13 Lean Launchpad Programme. Teams sharing their 10-week journey of market validation. The teams enjoyed the learning journey.
Top 3 Award in Hong Kong X Foundation FYP + Supporting Scheme 2018-19
Dolphin project (supervised by Dr. Daniel Lun and Dr. Ivan Ho) won the top 3 award of Hong Kong X Foundation FYP+ Supporting Scheme 2018-2019.
There are 175 innovative technology projects (from all local universities – HKU, CUHK, PolyU, CityU, UST, BU etc) joined this open competition. The projects are related to different fields such as big health, material/energy/environment, robotics & smart hardware, big data & AI, design/AR/VR/filming/entertainment, cultural and creative, fin tech, new retail and smart building.
Judges are renowned industry reps, including Dr David Chung Wai-keung JP (Under Secretary for Innovation and Technology, HKSAR), Mr Peter Mok (Head of Incubation Programme, HKSTP), Prof. Zexiang Li (HKUST) etc. Dolphin project was selected as one of the top 3 projects.
